The Three Ps: Provision, Promises, and Power

by Belinda Blevins

Verse for Thought:
I will abundantly bless her provision (Psalm 135: 15) NKJV

Everything we need to succeed in life is provided by God. However these provisions are only available when we choose to follow God's plan. If we ignore the plans God has for us and set our own, we may get what we want, but it won’t be genuine success. Genuine success only comes when we do what God has called us to do. Not occasionally, but continually.
Our success in becoming the person we were meant to be is through God's design and his promises.
Today I read how Joshua chose to listen to God's promise and follow him as directed. God told him to be strong and courageous.   He had a task from God to lead the people to Jordan after Moses’ death.  Because he followed God,  Joshua did not fail.  God was with him all the way. He told him not to go left, or right and he would prosper. What a promise!!
That is what God wants for us. He has given us the power to be strong and courageous with each challenge we face. Such boldness isn’t something we muster ourselves. It is the power we are given from the Lord when our faith is stronger than fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 TIm. 1:7).  God's word shapes our thoughts and actions. If we follow his path with the power he gives us, we won’t go wrong and we will succeed as he leads.

Let's Pray:
Father, thank you for your provision and for your promises.  Thank you for your power.   Thank you for giving us everything we need to succeed in life.  Please lead and guide us each day father.   We love you and praise you.   In Jesus' name.   Amen.

Take the next step:

Walk by faith today.  God is your provider.   His word will be a light for your path, and a lamp for you feet (Ps. 119:105). Be Blessed.
