Live Your Life Intentionally
by Belinda Blevins
Verse for Thought:
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)
“If I keep doing what I am doing, I will keep getting what I am getting.” Maybe it is time for me to get out of the rut I’m in and find a new path. I am hoping that God will help me change direction and accomplish new goals to align my life for his will and purpose for me.
I can’t just settle for an unplanned life. I must be able to start today. At the end of my life, I want to be able to say what Paul said in the today's scripture. I have kept the faith, I have stayed the course. Paul really had a life change. He lived his life to the fullest and followed God. Yes, he faced challenges when called to preach. There were oppositions, lots of persecutions, and suffering. However, he knew in the end, he would hear our father say he had fought the good fight.
Our culture lives such a fast pace sometimes that I wonder where we are going along our journey and what is the big hurry? We are not taking the time to smell the roses, much less do what we are called to do. I have learned to stop and ask God for directions. What task does he have for me daily? There are goals for all of us. However, if we are just sitting around twisting our hands we won’t see any results.
There is much work to be done. There are personal, relational, and spiritual goals we must accomplish. This is our primary emphasis. Only then can we know that we are living the life God intended. God has a Purpose and plan for our life. His plan is best! Stop, ask, believe and you will receive.
Let’s Pray:
Thank you, Father for plan and purpose in our lives. Please help us to stay the course to do your will. Help us to trust that we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us in Jesus’ name. Amen .
Take the next step:
Ask God today for directions. He will help you along the way. God is faithful. He will not abandon you. Be Blessed
